In his opening speech, Minister of Defense of Armenia David Tonoyan emphasized that due to the efforts of the military-political leadership, clear tactics and actions of the Armed Forces in 2019 the situation in the frontline was quite calm. At the same time he stressed that we should not weaken our vigilance for a second. We should continue to exert additional efforts to strengthen the combat readiness of the Armed Forces and ensure the inviolability of the borders.

During the meeting, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan delivered a report. Presenting the work done, existing achievements and shortcomings, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces stated that all the activities aimed at replenishing modern armament and military equipment, strengthening the combat preparedness and discipline of the troops, improving the quality of the combat readiness of the military personnel, as well as the activities for development of  the video monitoring systems continued in a great extent. The targeted distribution of powers and resources made it possible to improve the tactical and professional skills of the personnel, perform tasks at a high level and counteract the provocative actions of the adversary.

The Deputy Ministers of Defense of the Republic of Armenia made reports on social, military-educational, international military cooperation programs implemented during the reporting period, activities done in the field of budgetary allocations and forthcoming plans.

Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Davit Tonoyan gave instructions on the upcoming tasks.

At the end of the meeting a number of subdivisions and officers were awarded.
