On the 21st of June the RA MoD Seyran Ohanyan and Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan signed an order of cooperation and joint programs between the two departments, aimed at developing the Armenia-Diaspora interaction. During the meeting in the RA MoD Administrative Complex the joint programs and events in the frame of the cooperation were pre-mentioned.

This year it is planned to held open lessons for the militant in the frames of “2010 – Year of Mother Tongue” and organize literature-music events in east and west Armenians in detachments. Cooperation is also planned in the frames of “Come Home”, “One Nation, One Culture” and other program. Particularly, the two ministries will jointly hold “Our Heroes” program – the Diaspora educational institutions and youth organizations will be provided with informational material about our hero freedom fighters.

During the meeting the RA MoD Seyran Ohanyan stated that the role and input of the Diaspora in the years of the Artsakh freedom fight, and today, too, our country is powerful with the Diaspora, as well. In her turn Hranush Hakobyan underlined that the programs have a great strategic importance, hence, as a result of the cooperation their realization will be more effective.
