The National Defence Research University launched a departmental academic retraining course

On October 21, the National Defence Research University launched the “Military Security of the State” departmental academic retraining course.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia G. Balayan, Chief of Military Training Department of RA Armed Forces - Deputy Chief of Armed Forces, Major-General A. Makaryan, senior military personnel, DNRU senior and teaching staff, officers involved in the course.

The “Military Security of the State” departmental academic retraining course has been developed by the National Defence Research University of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia for the purposes of education in accordance with the mission and goals of the school.

 The training course aims to train the officers of the Armed Forces according to the needs of the Armed Forces, develop their strategic thinking, impart comprehensive knowledge of the state's military security system, contribute to the improvement of the officers' strategic, analytical, managerial skills and skills needed to apply them at the strategic level.

By greeting the participants, Deputy Defence Minister Gabriel Balayan higkighted the importance to the purpose and mission of the training launched in NDRU, highly appreciated the etensive work done in the development of the training program, expressed confidence that the topics included in the training program would greatly contribute to the organization of military service.

Major-General Andranik Makaryan also praised the importance of the training, stressing the importance of training officers and commanders of different units of the Armed Forces.

Head of the NDRU, Major-General Tavaratsyan in his turn informed that next year it is planned to develop and organize a master's degree program, interdepartmental training, as well as special courses for specialists in the operative field, and in the future also postgraduate education (PhD students and applicants).

It is also envisaged to set up a NDRU Professional Council under the HCC of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of which candidate and doctoral dissertations will be supported in the fields of military science, military strategy, national security.

At the end of the solemn ceremony the participants got acquainted with the guides developed in the NDRU, the project modules and themes, the technical equipment of NDRU audiences.
