On the 19th of August in the Yerevan “Zvartnots” airport landed the military-transporter airplane of the German Air Forces.
In this airplane arriving from the German city of Köln returned the first contingent of the Armenian peacekeepers accomplishing a mission among the ISAF Afghanistan.
Since January, 2010, under the German Command, the Armenian peacekeepers have been assuring the security of the airfield of the Afghani city of Kunduz. Today the second contingent of the Armenian peacekeepers is in Afghanistan.
