From August 31 till September 3, 2010 Colonel Wolfgang Gäbelein, Chief of Federal Republic of Germany Bundeswehr Planning Department’s Planning Fundamentals, Principles and Controlling Branch was in Yerevan on an advisory visit.

During the visit Colonel Gäbelein, accompanied by Colonel Bruno Paulus, the Military attaché of the Embassy of Germany in Armenia, had meetings with the officials responsible for Defence Planning issues in the Armenian Ministry of Defence and General Staff of Armed Forces. The meetings involved discussions on the issues of Defence policy implementation, strategic planning , budgeting, financial controlling and interagency coordination and German experience in these areas has been presented.
