On 26 March, Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Lt-Gen Artak Davtyan delivered a lecture entitled "The situation in the Armenian Armed Forces and Development Directions" at the Armed Forces leadership’s operative gathering under way at the Ministry of Defence.

The lecture dealt with the ongoing and completed activities in the Armed Forces, in particular, the projects aimed at training of troops, combat duty and the efficiency of carrying out combat tasks.

Lt-Gen Davtyan noted that the Armed Forces leadership pays daily attention to such issues as supplying the army with modern types of weapons and equipment as well as improving the conditions of combat duty. He said that tangible achievements have been recorded.
