The purpose of the drills was to enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the personnel during a high-level combat readiness, as well as to increase their knowledge of responsibilities and the ability to use it appropriately. The drills are headed by Maj. Gen. Valeri Kocharyan, the commander of the 4th Army Corps.
