On the 23rd of September, 2010 Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan met ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko. At the meeting they discussed matters about the Armenian-Russian military cooperation, matters of mutual interest as well as regional and conflict resolution issues. The two sides also touched upon the details of the interstate protocol on extending the Russian military base’s activation period in the territory of Armenia. During the meeting the Ambassador gave the Minister a souvenir devoted to the 65th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
