On the 1st of October, 2010 ARM MoD Seyran Ohanyan received the delegation headed by special representative of the EU for South Caucasus, ambassador Peter Semnebi.

During the meeting they discussed the future of NK conflict settlement, as well as issues related to the possible Armenia-EU cooperation in the sphere of defence reforms.

The importance of assuring armistice in the NK conflict contact line was mutually accepted, and necessities for this are the efforts aimed at ceasing the sniper shootings and sabotages. Besides, it is necessary to ensure the protection of the international human rights norms, including the exchange of war prisoners. The ARM MoD stated that the high level meetings of the military heads, including in the contact line, as well as the exclusion of warlike announcements by officials, will also promote the mutual trust between the conflicting sides and will lay stronger bases for the NK conflict settlement.
