Bilateral cooperation programme beytween Armenian and Bulgarian defence ministries signed

Armenian-Bulgarian bilateral cooperation consultations were held at the Armenian Defence Ministry on 29-30 November. The consultations were co-chaired by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Armenian Defence Ministry’s Defense Policy Department, and Daniela Grigorova, Head of the Bulgarian Defence Ministry’s Department for Regional Initiatives.

The parties discussed issues related to international and regional security, presented the positions on security and defence issues of their respective ministries. They also discussed the Armenian-Bulgarian bilateral cooperation programmes and prospects of multilateral cooperation in NATO and EU.

At the end of the consultations, the Armenian and Bulgarian Defense Ministries signed a bilateral cooperation programme for 2019, which includes nine items, from peacekeeping, military medicine, military police, personnel training to military-technical and other fields.
