The parties discussed the ongoing cooperation and the joint projects between the Council of Europe and Armenia’s Ministry of Defence. Minister Tonoyan highlighted the human rights in the armed forces project implemented with the assistance of the Council of Europe: the goal of the project is to exercise the rights fundamental freedoms of servicemen as well as to raise their awareness and legal knowledge.

Natalia Vutova, from her part, praised the Armenian Defence Ministry for high level of cooperation and reaffirmed the CE Yerevan Office commitment to assist cooperation programmes.
