International Foreign Language Olympiad wraps up

Armenian Deputy Defence Minister Artak Davtyan, Deputy Chief of General Staff Maj. Gen. Andranik Makaryan, CSTO Chief of United Staff Col. Gen. Anatoly Sidorov, Secretary of CIS Defence Ministers Council Maj. Gen. Yuri Dashkin and other high-ranking military officials attended the ceremony.
The speakers welcomed the participants and congratulated them, saying the Olympiad has served its purpose as not only a platform of checking knowledge, but also strengthening ties and cooperation between friendly countries and one more way to share experience.
During the four days of the final stage of the Olympiad, cadet teams from Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan competed in two categories: General Knowledge and Special Knowledge. During the closing ceremony, the winners were awarded. In the General Knowledge category, the first, second and third places were taken by Russia, Armenia and Uzbekistan, respectively; in the Special Knowledge category, the winners were Russia, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
Armenia was represented by Vazgen Sargsyan Military University and A. Khanperyants Military Aviation University.
