The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Defence Minister Artak Davtyan, Russian Defence Ministry Military University Deputy Head Maj. Gen. Yelena Knyazeva, high-ranking officers and guests.

After congratulating the participants, Davtyan wished them success and victory, saying the event held at Monte Melkonian College would not only serve as the best platform to identify the best cadets of the CIS educational institutions in a healthy competitive environment, but it would also contribute to the exchange of experience, seeing Armenia's historical and cultural sites, intercultural communication and acquiring new friends.

Cadets from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are participating in the final stage. Armenia is represented by cadets from Vazgen Sargsyan Military University and Marshal

Khanperian Military Aviation University. A panel will chose and award the best based on the results in team and individual competitions.
