High-ranking officials visit Yerablur Cemetery in marking Army Day

In marking the Army Day, Armenian President and Commander-in-Chief Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan, members of the National Security Council and the leadership of the Defence Ministry and Armed Forces visited the Yerablur Military Cemetery to pay tribute to the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the Homeland.

President Sargsyan handed high awards, posthumously, to the families of the heroes who were killed while defending the borders of the Homeland, showing devotion and courage.

The cadets attached to those families, as well as cadets of Vazgen Sargsyan Military University after, Armenak Khanperyants Military Aviation University and students of Monte Melkonian Military School were also present at the ceremony.

President Sargsyan has also issued a congratulatory address on the occasion of the Army Day.
