Questions concerning Armenia-EU relations were discussed during the meeting. The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the importance of reforms in public administration taking place in Armenia, and particularly the aid provided by the European Union in the field of human rights and the fight against corruption. Artak Zakaryan expressed hopes that the effective cooperation and active dialogue between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union will be of a continuous nature.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia noted that the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia continuous to view cooperation with the EU in military education and science as being beneficial.

Dirk Lorenz in turn expressed the importance of contact with the Republic of Armenia and expressed hopes that the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the EU to be signed in the end of the year will be a impetus for a new level of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the EU.
