Meeting at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia
31 May, 2017 12:52Questions concerning increasing activity in defense cooperation between Armenia and Estonia, progress in defense reforms, Armenia – NATO cooperation, international peacekeeping missions and regional security were discussing during the meeting.
Both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening parliamentary relations, which can serve as a foundation to further deepen and develop defense cooperation between Armenia and Estonia.
At the request of his guests, Artak Zakaryan made references to a number of issues. In particular, speaking about the EU - Armenia framework agreement that is to be signed in the near future, Artak Zakaryan noted that the European Union remains one of Armenia’s most important partners, and that cooperation with the EU is based first of all on a shared system of values.
Referring to the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirmed Armenia’s position concerning its peaceful resolution. He emphasized the fact that the defense policy of the Republic of Armenia prioritizes the provision of peaceful and stable development in the region.
