On April 23rd, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan directed a message of condolence to Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoygu, for the death of contract serviceman Dmitri Yalpayev in base 102 of the Russian Federation.

“I would like to express my deepest condolences to you, the commanding staff of the southern military region and the 102nd base, and the family members and relatives of the fallen serviceman. Please accept our support and compassion.

I would like to ensure you that the government of the Republic of Armenia will take all necessary steps to fully clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and punish those who were responsible for it,” stated the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
