A meeting took place between the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece

On March 9th, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan held a working dinner with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece Nikos Kocias, who was in Yerevan for a working visit to Armenia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of questions concerning regional security, bilateral relations and future cooperation.

Expressing the importance of the high level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Vigen Sargsyan spoke about the fact that special traditions and effective mechanisms for cooperation have been established in the sphere of defense in particular. The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia informed the guest of the agreements that he had reached with his counterpart in Greece during his last visit at the end of the last year, and of the progress and carrying out those agreements. Mr. Kocias in turn reaffirmed the willingness of the Greek side, to carry out defense-related programs with the Republic of Armenia.

The Ministers also expressed opinions concerning recent military-political developments in the region and ways to neutralize existing threats, and agreed to continue joint efforts to support each other's causes on the international arena.
