Representatives from the leadership of the the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the Marshall A. Khanperyanc military aviation university of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, and the Warrant Officers School of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia participated in the consultation.

The aim of the visit was to summarize the 2016 cooperation with the Department of Personnel and Military Education of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the military-educational institutions, and obtain agreements concerning the directions of cooperation in 2017.

A meeting took place between the team of experts and representatives of relevant subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. The experts also visited military-educational instituations.

During the working meeting which took place at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the Armenian side presented reports concerning reforms taking place in military education and in military-educational institutions. Questions concerning review of educational programs, the retraining of the professorial and lecturing staff, new methodologies in teaching, legislative initiatives aimed at encouraging development in defense education and questions concerning the provision of the european Bologna process in military higher education were discussed.

From February 13th to February 16th, the international consultation team visited and met with the leaderships of military-educational institutions, and individuals responsible for the field of military education. During visitations to the V. Sargsyan military university, the A. Khanperyans military aviation institute and the Warrant Officers School, progress in programs initiatied with the help of the consultation team, as well as considerations concerning the optimal application of the cooperation for the Armed Forces was discussed.

The consultation team presented a lecture entitled "Western Operational Arts: Comparative Analysis of Eastern and Soviet Models" to the listeners from the Command and Staff College of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

The individual responsible for the educational and research programs of the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the head of the university presented reports concerning the main works carried out in 2016. It was noted that considerable attention is paid by the university to strategic research in cybersecurity.

The visit by the consultation team was summarized during a meeting with representative of relevant departments, at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. During the meeting, the parties agreed upon future cooperation programs between military-educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia and the international consultation team.
