An airplane carrying humanitarian aid landed in the "Hmeymim" airbase of the Russian Federation in the city of Latakia of the Arabic Republic of Syria on February 14th. The friendly people of Syria were provided with essential supplies, primarily foodstuff and clothing, at the order of the President of Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

The representatives of the Ministries of Defense, Emergency Situations, and Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, who accompanied the humanitarian aid in order to oversee and organize its distribution, were met in Aleppo by the Consul General of Armenia, Tigran Gevorgyan.

The humanitarian aid for residents affected by the conflict will be divided equally amongst Latakia, Damascus, Kesab, and families in Aleppo who urgently need the materials.

The humanitarian aid program, which is being carried out with the aid of the Russian center for reconciliation of the conflicting parties, will be of a continuous nature.
