Military exercises simulating peacekeeping operations have taken place
29 September, 2016 15:23Military exercises simulating peacekeeping operations have taken place from September 27th to September 30th, at the "ZAR" education center of the Peacekeeping Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, as part of the NATO operative capabilities program. A self-examination of the capabilities of the mobile field hospital has taken place, according to NATO standards.
500 servicemen from the peacekeeping brigade and military-medical department, as well as 60 military and medical pieces of equipment, and helicopters participated in the exercises. In accordance with the previously agreed-upon program, helicopter extraction, provision of medical aid to the civilian population, and cooperation with international and non-governmental organizations was exercised, with the aid of the mobile field hospital.
The examination was carried out by officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia who received appropriate qualifications from NATO, with consultation from instructors from NATO and the US Kansas national guard.
