Throughout this year, the Peacekeeping Engineering Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia have demined approximately 10000 square meters of land in the Syuniq region.

Oversight of the quality of the work carried out was done by the representatives of the "Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise" SNCO.

The Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise SNCO has simultaneously carried out land demarcation. As a result of those works, 49 dangerous areas have been marked, 883 warning signs have been placed and 19690 meters of ribbon were used. The aim of the demarcation process was to restrict people from entering those areas, as well as to inform people about the dangers of mines.

We would like to remind you that entry into demarcated areas or the destruction of signs and the removal of warning ribbons can cause injury and death for you and your relatives. In addition to being informed about mines, let us also adhere to safety rules, and avoid danger.
