On the 21st of December the sitting of the commission of matters of the Armenian prisoners of war, hostages, and missing persons took place, which was chaired by Minster of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan. During the sitting they discussed the work done in 2010 and the work plan of 2011.
The members of the commission assured that the process of returning the captives to their Motherland is a slow one, because the Azerbaijani side does not show enough readiness and resoluteness.

Underlining the importance of increasing the effectiveness of the work on returning the prisoners of war and missing persons, the members of the commission stated, that the facts that Manvel Saribekyan was tortured by the Azerbaijanis, as well as that Arthur Badalyan’s being captivated was affirmed a year and a half later, prove that the Azerbaijani leaders are limiting the work of the ICRC Baku office.
