On the 22nd of December, 2010 a sitting of the ministers of Defence, Education and Science, Sport and Youth Affairs, Emergency Situations and the Armenian Head of Police took place on the work done in 2010 towards the pre-recruitment preparedness and military-patriotic education. During the sitting the representatives of the abovementioned departments read their reports, stating the work done and the future plans.

Underlining the importance of promoting the military-patriotic education amongst the youth of pre-recruitment age, ARM Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan stated that military-patriotic education is a part of our country’s military potential.

ARM Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan and ARM Head of Police, Lieutenant-General Alik Sargsyan also made speeches pointing out the current issues and the work needed for overcoming them. Representatives of different spheres of social life were awarded with departmental medals, certificates and gifts for their input in the military-patriotic education of the younger generation. After the concluding interdepartmental discussions Mr. Ohanyan and Mr. Ashotyan visited the Republican Recruitment Center, observed the recruitment conditions, talked to the conscripts and their parents.
