During the seminar-discussion, Deputy Minister of Defense Ara Nazaryan presented the new programs designed through cooperation between relevant government agencies, legal bodies, and research and nongovernmental organizations, which will provide an opportunity to minimize cases of suicides in the Armed Forces.

Representatives of the defense administration of the Republic of Armenia, the Military Prosecution of the Republic of Armenia, and the Investigation Committee of the Republic of Armenia presented reports. The spiritual leader of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia His Eminence Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan presented a nuanced view of suicide from the Christian standpoint. Statistics concerning suicide cases, their causes, contributing factors, as well as factors that contribute to the psychological stability of servicemen were discussed during the meeting. Several proposals were also made, and Deputy Minister of Defense presented his thoughts on them.
