Greeting the guests, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan emphasized the fact that the Armenia people have united in the face of threat. "During our recent history, we were able to create a new state, army, and security system, in such a way that the Armenian army becomes the guarantor of security and uniting factor of our people. The suppression of the uncontrolled actions aimed at the NKR during the month of April are proof of the fact that the Defense Army is able to carry out the tasks set before it. When the army is supported by friends in combat who are volunteers, it becomes even more powerful and transforms into an even more powerful pillar on which the security system can be built," said Seyran Ohanyan.

The volunteers who participated in the combat activities in April themselves stated that the emotions and experiences they felt during the fighting in April were similar to those they had felt during the war in Artsakh, while also admitting that there were stronger and braver fighters in the trenches, who are the Defense Army soldiers standing in the trenches today. The volunteer fighters emphasized the fact that instead of being discouraged or worried by that fact, they were encouraged at the notion that today's generation has a stronger attachment to its soil, and is willing to defends it with its life.

At the end of the meeting, Seyran Ohanyan handed out several dozen medals to the freedom fighters for their contributions to strengthening of the security of the NKR people .
