On June 26th, as in other military bases, sports events have taken place at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense, with participation from officers and special civilian workers from the Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces and General Staff. The aim of the athletic events is to increase the role of physical preparedness, popularize military athletic sports, and create an atmosphere of healthy competition by rewarding top performers.

A poll was taken before the commencement of the event, in order to determine the participating teams. First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant-General Enriko Apriamov greeted the participants.
The athletic events will take place at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense until July 1st. Top participants in both individual and team categories will be awarded.
