On the night of May 13th and 14th, the adversary continued to fire intermittently at Armenian border patrol situated along the northeast portion of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, using assault rifles and sniper rifles of various calibers.

The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia confidently supervise the situation, resorting to appropriate countermeasures only during targeted ceasefire violations by the adversary.

According to the situational report received from the NKR Defence Army, the tense situation of the line of contact between NKR and Azerbaijani forces created in the afternoon of May 13th has persisted until the morning of May 14th.

The adversary has violated the ceasefire agreement using 60mm, 82mm and 120mm mortars, AGS-17 (30 missiles) and RPG-7 (2 missiles) grenade launchers, and ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft twin-barrelled auto-cannon (30 shots).

As a result of the enemy’s violations of the ceasefire regime, serviceman Hovhannes Poghosyan (born in 1995) received a severe gunshot wound, whilst situated in the protection zone of one of the DA military units located in the northern area.

The enemy’s attempts to destabilize the situation demonstrate yet again Azerbaijan’s complete disregard towards the mediatory efforts aiming to settle the issue.

In consequence of the DA frontline subdivisions’ retaliation actions, the enemy’s activities have been suppressed.
