During the meeting, discussions were held on current cooperation related matters, between the RA Ministry of Defence and the OSCE Office in Yerevan. The RA Minister of Defence highly valued the ongoing joint activities, implemented with the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, aimed at improving human rights within the Armed Forces, strengthening the principles of building integrity and enhancing the institutional capacity and professional skills of the Armenian Center for Humanitarian Demining. Seyran Ohanyan congratulated Ambassador Avakov on his appointment to the OSCE Office in Yerevan and expressed hope in the introduction of new areas of cooperation throughout the Ambassador’s tenure, such as ensuring servicemen’s right to vote in the upcoming national elections.

Ambassador Avakov also expressed confidence in the continuous nature of the cooperation between the RA Defence Ministry and the OSCE Office in Yerevan.

At the end of the meeting, Seyran Ohanyan wished luck to Ambassador Avakov in his duties as Head of the OSCE in Yerevan.
