RA Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan emphasized on the continuous provision of weapons and military equipment which aims to further improve the army’s combat readiness. The Minister of Defence stressed that the enemy does not miss a single occasion to intensify the situation on the border, and noted that, in the context of recent unprecedented events, it is vitally important to pay attention on issues such as staff preparation, and technical support of troops.

It was generally pointed out that the employment of weapons and military equipment in the Armed Forces is organized in accordance with the requirements of the annual operational plan, and under the command of the RA Defence Minister and the Chief of GS AF. Thereupon, the Armed Forces are accordingly armed and capable of performing tasks in both times of peace and war. Those statements proved to be true in the beginning of April, during the escalation of events on the line of contact between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

Defence Minister Ohanyan summed up the overall analyses and gave a number of instructions to the officials in charge of the abovementioned spheres.
