A council has taken place on March 1st, between the commanding staff of the MoD, AF, AF GS, and the commanders of army corps. The council was dedicated to discussing questions concerning management of the Armed Forces, adherence to rules concerning service safety, and the implementation process of steps and efforts aimed at increasing the combat preparedness of the Armed Forces.

Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan stressed the importance of efforts aimed at enhancing the combat readiness of the Armed Forces and the preparedness of the servicemen, and the necessity of securing the safety of servicemen carrying out combat surveillance duty and efforts aimed at improving the effectiveness of military service. The head of the defence administration also emphasized the fact that it is also necessary to pay attention to improving the strength of structures and questions concerning the safe use of armaments, and noted that supervisory works will be carried out in this regard throughout 2016.

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia colonel-general Yuri Khachaturov in turn encouraged that special attention be paid to the conditions in which military equipment is kept in military bases, as well as issues of combat preparedness. Highlighting the fact that the key factor in restricting the adversary is the combat readiness and preparedness of the armed forces, the chief of the RA AF GS emphasized the fact that it is the duty of each serviceman to service in such a way throughout this educational year, that increases the combat readiness of the national army.
Valuing both the planned and unplanned works carried out throughout the accountable period, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia colonel-general Yuri Khachaturov gave participants necessary advice and instructions, and presented several observations concerning the plans for implementation.
