29 January, 2016 16:01Throughout the meetings, a medley of issues were discussed, aimed at further development of the CSTO military component, including the management of condition forces and resources, the improvement of the institute for the representatives of the armed forces and the activities of the Joint Staff, the creation of the CSTO crisis response centre and its cooperation with corresponding national centers, and the formation of military personnel and experts in the universities of CSTO member-states.
The parties also touched upon preparatory issues for the sessions of the CSTO Council of Defence Ministries and the CSTO Military Committee, to be held this year in the Republic of Armenia, as well as the organization of several events (such as operative and combat readiness) targeted at the abovementioned matters, and the organization of priority directions for Armenia’s chairmanship in CSTO during 2016.
