The RA tank subdivisions were one of the first created in the national army. The RA AF tank unit was completely established on October 8th, 1992. In subsequent years, the RA AF tank subdivisions have continued to improve themselves.

Undoubtedly, Armenian tankers have gone through a long and glorious path. They have distinguished themselves through their courage during the Artsakh Liberation War, throughout which, due to their military-tactical skills, they were able to conduct many significant battles and minimize the enemy’s military superiority. The tank subdivisions have perfectly executed all tasks assigned to them.

In line with the development of the Armed Forces, Armenian tankers improved the methods of tank maneuvering and management. The Armenian tankers have demonstrated their professionalism and high level of combat readiness in international exercises, proving that they are ready to, in case of necessity, counter enemy attacks.
