From September 23 to 25, the delegation headed by RA Deputy Minister of Defence Ara Nazaryan visited the Microsoft U.S. office, in the framework of the agreement on “Government Security Program” established between the Armenian Government and the Microsoft Company.

During their trip, the delegation visited Microsoft’s Cybercrime office and the Data Protection Center, and met with Microsoft’s Vice President Vahe Torossyan. The parties discussed Armenian cyber security program related issues, as well as Microsoft’s possible assistance in re-training the Defence Ministry’s and other interested structures’ cyber security staff.

Delegation member Arsen Taroyan, Director of YCRDI, presented Microsoft representatives the details on the establishment of Hi Tech cyber security center aimed at overcoming the challenges in the field and implementing possible areas of cooperation with the company. 
In accordance with the abovementioned agreement, the technical staff of the RA MoD, as well as other structures, has been retrained at the Microsoft educational center during the period of September 28-30.
