The Armenian contingent arrives toTajikistan

On the purpose of surprise inspections, the unit of the high degree of combat readiness of the rapid reaction joint forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) arrived at the predetermined district for the rapid expansion.

The CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces were divided in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, in “Kharbmaydan” military, and they already perform the tasks. The operations’ idea issues were discussed, as well as the training of the military tasks were clarified between the commanders of the national military units of the participating countries – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. On May 15, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha visited the Military College. Nikolai Bordyuzha with the CSTO Joint Staff operations group toured the military tent camp, got acquainted with the subdivisions’ living conditions and their combat problems. Bordyuzha highly assessed the preparedness of subdivisions, noting that according to the plan established during inspections, troops of CSTO member states regrouped and deployed in the territory of Tajikistan. Such maneuvers, undertaken in cases of threats and military actions, provide liaison amongst the various subdivisions of the rapid reaction joint forces, harmonization of cooperation operations, and enhance the efficiency of multinational military formation management throughout combat operations. More than 2500 servicemembers are involved in the surprise inspection, with around 200 units of military equipment, and two dozens of combat aircraft and helicopters.
