Opening of new museum in the military medical faculty of the YSMU

Today, a new museum was established in the military medical faculty of the Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi. The opening ceremony was attended by ARM Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan.

YSMU Rector Michael Narimanyan greeted the guests and assured that the new museum reflecting the history of Artsakh War and its victory, will contribute to the youth’s recognition of Artsakh War participants, including the bravery of military doctors. ARM Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan congratulated the attendants with the Triple Victory Day celebrations of the month of May, valued once again the role of medical servicemembers, as much as during the Artsakh War as throughout peaceful times, noted that medical doctors have highly contributed to the development and strengthening of the Armenian Army, and emphasized on the importance of the military medical faculty’s role in the formation of a strong medical staff within the Armed Forces. On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Liberation of Shushi, as well as the anniversary of the implementation of the military medical faculty, the Minister of Defense awarded several employees and cadets with administrative medals and valuable gifts. During the discussions, which occurred after the opening ceremony, Seyran Ohanyan answered questions inquired by reporters and assured that the situation on the frontline is calm, there are no attempts of provocation by the enemy, which is conditioned by the current political situation in Azerbaijan and also by the fact that the enemy understands that such measures are unnecessary because the Armenian Armed Forces are always prepared to protect its borders.
