The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Chairman of the RPA Women’s Council, Hermine Naghdalyan extended her gratitude to the Minister of Defence for his participation in this traditional seminar and for answering women’s most troubling questions in the field of defence. Seyran Ohanyan presented the reforms implemented in recent years within the Armed Forces, their achievements, and the results of army-society joint projects. The Minister of Defence touched upon the role of women in the defence sector, as well as the events aimed at raising their involvement within the armed forces. He also added that every year, a considerable increase is perceived in the number of female soldiers. Seyran Ohanyan also expressed his point of view and took stance on several issues and suggestions set forth by the women. The Minister gave exhaustive answers for all questions concerning different aspects of the Armenian military politics, regional security, tactics adopted by the enemy and counter-actions carried out by the Armenian side. At the end of the meeting, Seyran Ohanyan awarded Hermine Naghdalyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, as well as several representatives of the RPA Women’s Council.
