The parties discussed the current situation on the Line of Contact, in the Nagorna-Karabakh conflict and the developments that took place following the previous meeting held with the Co-Chairs in the same format. The ARM Defence Minister touched upon the recent incidents which occurred on the frontline and expressed his views on the potential factors for the sharp escalation of tension. The sides expressed concerns about the escalation of tension on the Line of Contact between the conflicting forces over the past couple of months and agreed on the need to apply confidence-building measures. The sides discussed several possible solutions to help build confidence and rule out incidents on the frontline, and Seyran Ohanyan expressed the Armenian side’s unconditional commitment to implement those solutions.
