In his opening speech, First Deputy Minister of Defence Davit Tonoyan noted that women’s rights in the armed of forces and the issues related to the promotion of equal opportunities are included in the reform agenda of the Ministry of Defence. The ARM Ministry of Defence highly values its joint works with the UNFPA and is ready to continue and deepen their cooperation. Speeches were also held by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Armenia, the Executive Representative of the UNFPA, Heritage parliamentary group member Tevan Poghosyan, the National Executive of military and political affairs of the OSCE office in Yerevan, ARM MoD representatives and experts.
