On May 21, delegation, led by the Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov, attended the meetings of the NATO Military Committee in Brussels. These meetings are the regular sessions of the Chiefs of Staff of the armed forces of the countries taking part in the "International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan and the missions within the framework of the "Resolute Support".

Sessions focused on the political situation in the country after the 1st stage of the presidential elections, needs of the security forces, redeployment schedule of the ISAF forces in Afghanistan, as well as the processing of the operational plan of "Resolute Support" mission, the preliminary schedule of the operational readiness, the strategic communications and regulation of the legal issues regarding the launch of the mission.
