The 8th intergovernmental commission on the Armenian-Russian military-technical cooperation was held

From November 25 to 29, the 8th intergovernmental session of the Armenian-Russian military-technical cooperation was held in Yerevan, at the conference hall of the MOD administrative building.

The session was presided by the Chair of the Armenian side of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission on the military technical cooperation, Deputy Defence Minister and Head of Material and Technical Supply Department of the ARM MoD A. Mirzabekyan, and the Chair of the Russian side, K. Birliulin. During the session, issues related to bilateral military-technical cooperation and enhancement of legal framework were on the discussion agenda. Within the scope of the session in Yerevan, the co-chairs of both parties of the intergovernmental commission met with the ARM Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan, Secretary of National Security Council A. Baghdasaryan, and ARM Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Participants of the session visited the center authorized for maintenance, repair and technical service of vehicles and special engineering equipment with “Kamaz” car bodies. The Russian side held an exhibition of a number of products of military technical significance produced in Russia. At the end of the session several documents including the session protocol were signed by the parties. Also, the 9th regular Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission on the military-technical cooperation was agreed to be hosted in the Russian Federation.
