The press conference covered a wide range of important issues including the regional security, international military cooperation and current developments in the Armed Forces. Speaking about the military-political situation in the region and Azerbaijan’s policy the minister concluded that there is little possibility of the war resumption at present, meanwhile he added that the Armenian Armed Forces continue to be the guarantor of the safety of the Nagorno-Karabakh people. “We will fulfill out tasks in case the military actions restart”, he said. Important clarification was made by the Defense Minister concerning the Interstate agreement due to be signed with Russian Federation, which will lead to realization of military-technical cooperation between the two countries on beneficial terms. He analyzed that the improvement and deepening of procedures within the agreement throughout last 9 years allowed the cooperation to enhance to state level. After the introductory speech the Minister opened a Q&A section for the journalists at attendance and gave answers to their questions.
