The aim of the visit was to verify the combat readiness of the military units of the Russian 102nd Military Base located in Armenia and provide assistance to the command staff for the upcoming academic year. In the scope of the visit Colonel General Vladimir Chirkin met with SeyranOhanyan, Minister of Defense and Yuri Khachaturov, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces. At the meeting they referred to a broad spectrum of issues regarding the Russian 102nd Military Base and discussed Armenian-Russian military and military technical cooperation.
