During the meeting they discussed the prospective of broadening the cooperation between ARM Defense Ministry and OSCE Office in Yerevan. Both sided emphasized the importance of joint projects towards the protection of human rights in the Armed Forces and raising the level of legal awareness of soldiers. The Defense Minister thanked the ambassador Kapinos for the expert assistance from OSCE Office in Yerevan thanks to which changes are expected in the Code of Discipline of the ARM armed forces. “Leadership in the Armed Forces” course has been included in military-educational programs and “Human Rights in the Armed Forces” course is to be included in the near future. Seyran Ohanyan has awarded ambassador Kapinos with a departmental medal for “Military Cooperation” as a result for the latter’s personal contribution in the effective cooperation between ARM Defense Ministry and OSCE in the recent years.
