On 4-5 May, 2011 Chief of the General Staff of the ARM Armed Forces, Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov participated in the sitting of NATO member and partner states` chiefs of GS, which was held in NATO central headquarter in the format of those countries which provide forces in Afghanistan. During the sitting, they discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, the future strategy of the alliance, and other matters related to the actions that are being undertaken. In his speech Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov introduced the participants the future plans about broadening the participation of the ARM military unit in the activities in Afghanistan.
