On March 22.2006 Mr. Serzh Sargsyan, Secretary, National Security Council under the President of the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Defense received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Armenia Edul Gol. Israel Mei Amin the Minister Councilor also participated in the meeting.

Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia is interested in efficient cooperation with Israel and expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador will have a great roll in the achievement of effective bilateral cooperation between two countries. Ehud Gol said that the necessity of bilateral cooperation in which both countries have a lot to do has long been required. The two sides mentioned that the Jewish and Armenian peoples have much in common, which is a good base for the deepening of the bilateral relations. Serzh Sargsyan and Ambassador of Israel exchanged also views on the regional issues.
