On October 10.2007 the delegation headed by the Defense Minister of Romania Teodor Melescanu had an official meeting with Armenian Defense Minister Michael Haroutounyan in the framework of the three-day visit to Armenia.

During the meeting the parties turned to the current state of military and military-technical cooperation existing between the two countries, underlining that there are all preconditions to deepen their cooperation particularly in the sphere of military education. Interlocutors also discussed issue concerning the security of larger Black Sea region and the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. At the end of the meeting the plan of cooperation for 2008 was signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of National Defense of Romania.
