Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces received a delegation led by the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Armenia
29 July, 2026 21:45On July 29, First Deputy Minister of Defence, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan received a delegation led by the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Armenia, Daphne Mare.
During the meeting, the main directions of cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the ICRC, as well as issues related to the support provided to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia in the field of international humanitarian law, were discussed.
Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan highly appreciated the joint work and results, expressing gratitude to the ICRC delegation for the cooperation and support provided in developing the capabilities of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
In turn, Daphne Mare presented the process of long-term cooperation, emphasizing that one of its main goals is the continuous development of the capabilities of the armed forces in the direction of integrating international humanitarian law.
