On July 21, the Head of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Major General Ashot Zakaryan, received at the Military Police a delegation led by the Head of the Military Police Department of the Defence Forces of Georgia, Major General Shalva Shengelia, who is on a three-day visit to Armenia to exchange experience and develop cooperation in the field of military police.

During the meeting, reaffirming the agreements reached in October of last year, the parties presented the structure, functions and characteristics of their units, discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation, exchanging experience and strengthening partnership relations.

Then, the members of the delegation toured the territory of the Military Police. At the end of the tour, the heads of the two structures planted a fir tree together in the “Yeghevnineri Park” (Fir Trees Park) as a symbol of continuous cooperation and friendship between the military police of Armenia and Georgia.
