On June 16–17, the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, headed by Secretary General of the RA MoD Hamlet Batikyan, participated in an extended technical briefing on the Wassenaar Arrangement held in Vienna. The briefing focused on the control of military products and the process of updating the relevant control lists.

Within the framework of the visit, the Armenian delegation held a private meeting with Mr. Kaifu Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan and Chair of the Wassenaar Arrangement, as well as with Mr. György Molnár, Ambassador and Head of Secretariat of the Wassenaar Arrangement. Discussions focused on cooperation within the framework of the Wassenaar Arrangement and opportunities for its further expansion.

In addition, the delegation held separate bilateral meetings with partners from the United States and France, during which issues related to the control of military products and prospects for enhanced cooperation in this domain were addressed.
